Fear

The quote attached is from one of History's most renown philosophers, Marcus Aurelius. To identify fear we must locate the source of the emotion, as fear shows its colors in several ways. Physical and emotional reactions are the most common form of expressing fear. A child might exhibit fear through inability to sleep without a night light. The child does not fear the dark that consumes the room without the source of light emitting security. The child fears what they do not know, which shows the strength of imagination.

Imagine now, the person you were 1 year, 3 years, 5 years, even 10 years ago. Are you where you expected to be? Are you the person you idled as a child? Are you living the life you imagined? We spend most of our lives engulfed within our own imaginative playground, either positive or negative. We suffer, more in imagination than in reality.

We should not fear any action, and if you cannot escape fear we must do it afraid.
